This policy explains how Gadgetsphere Communications (BN 7390270), trading as gadgetsphere, collects and uses your personal data when you visit mygadgetsphere.com, order from us, message us on WhatsApp or visit our shop. We follow the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

Who we are

Gadgetsphere Communications is the data controller for your personal data. You can reach us at Shop G17, Tairas Plus Plaza, 12 Oshitelu Street, Computer Village, Ikeja, Lagos 100271, Nigeria, by email at gadgetspherecommuncations@gmail.com, or by phone or WhatsApp on +234 904 635 4052.

What we collect

  • Order details: your name, phone number, email address, delivery or billing address, and what you ordered.
  • Messages: what you send us on WhatsApp, by phone or by email.
  • Payment details: when you pay by bank transfer, we see the amount, the date and the name on the transfer. We don’t see or store card numbers. If you pay online, the payment provider handles your card details.
  • Website data: cookies that keep your cart and checkout working, and analytics data about how people use the site, such as pages viewed, device type and rough location.

Why we use it

  • To take, prepare and deliver your order, and to arrange pickup. We need this to fulfil our contract with you.
  • To answer your questions on WhatsApp, by phone or by email, because you asked us to.
  • To keep records of sales, because Nigerian tax and accounting rules require it.
  • To keep the website working and improve it. This is in our legitimate interest, and you can block analytics cookies in your browser.

Who we share it with

We only share what each one needs to do their job:

  • Delivery riders and couriers, including the one you choose for other states: your name, phone number and delivery address.
  • Banks and payment providers, to process your payment.
  • The companies that host our website and email.
  • Google, for website analytics, and WhatsApp (Meta), when you message us there.

We never sell your personal data.

Data stored outside Nigeria

Some of these providers, such as Google and WhatsApp, may store data on servers outside Nigeria. Where that happens, we rely on the protections the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 requires for transfers abroad.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as we need them for your order and for as long as Nigerian tax and accounting rules require. We keep messages only as long as they’re useful for your order or question.

Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy;
  • correct anything that’s wrong;
  • delete your data, where we don’t have to keep it by law;
  • stop or limit how we use it, or object to it;
  • send your data to you or to another company in a usable format;
  • withdraw your consent, where we rely on it.

Keeping your data safe

Our website uses a secure (HTTPS) connection. Only the people who handle your order can see your details.
